No 1211   March - Moreland 90 by Noel Jones

Presentation by the composer: Moreland is a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The corps is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. The two melodies used have been favourites for many years - "Make my life to be like a melody" and "When the roll is called up yonder".

No 1212   Selection - The King by Erik Silfverberg

Presentation by the composer: This piece of music presents two traditional hymns - "Praise, my soul, the King of Heaven" and "All hail the power of Jesus´ name" together with the more recent song "The Servant King" by Graham Kendrick.

No 1213   Cornet solo - All The Ways God Has Shown by Howard Davies

Presentation by the composer: I wrote this song during summer 1965, as a 2nd year Cadet, on out-training at Rochester, a small country Corps in Victoria, Australia. The inspiration for the song came during a long, hot drought in that region. Late one afternoon the drought broke and the rains fell. With the rain came that unforgettable, wonderful smell of dry and thirsty lands being brought back to life again. The worlds of the first verse are as follows:
I love the trees, the gentle breeze
I love the sand and the rolling seas
The hill and plain lift my sight again
To the One who makes life worth living.

No 1214   Chorus arrangement  -  Oh. How He Loves You and Me by Noel Brooks

Presentation by the composer: This piece is a simple yet sensitive setting of the chorus "Oh, how he loves you and me". The words express Christ´s sacrifice and love for us all. Near the end of the arrengement is a short quotation of the well-loved hymn "Christ is all" - an expression of our compolete love returned to Christ.
