No 1207 March - Salisbury City by Dean Jones

Presentation by the composer:The corps at Salisbury has a very significant part of Salvation Army history associated with it and it was my great privilege to be asked to write a march to commemorate 130 years of the corps´ active service. The Fry family formed the very first Salvation Army band in the market place directly opposite the hall and not only left a miraculous legacy of banding but also some of the most affirming songs within our current Song Book. Part of the commission for this piece was the request to use songs by the Fry family. It quickly became clear that the ideal themes for the march would be "The Lily of The Valley" and "I´ll Stand for Christ"
